7/4/09 Found piece in article It was clearly from his father, Hebdon Colburn Bancroft that Arthur inherited his passion for music and, more particularly, for the violin. Hebdon was a highly skilled tool-maker by profession but, quite remarkably, became a completely self-taught violin maker as a hobby.
Hebden married Olive G. Chandler in Dec 1924 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England.
