There is a Matthias Travis born May 1768 to a James Travis, but there is no evidence this is the same Matthias.
Birth and death from Patrick Johnson by email 17 Oct 2007.
IGI has a William Travis marrying Ann Johnson 15 May 1759 in Kirk Bramwith. Don't know if this is a generation earlier see IGI batch M106572
11/24/09 Burial info from Chris Hemsworth with age 72 so moved back birth to 1768 from 1770. This fit in with the only baptism to a James that can be found

Matthias married Alice Walker, daughter of Robert Walker and Unknown, on 28 Jul 1799 in Thorne, Yorks, England.¹²³⁸ (Alice Walker was born in 1776,¹²⁴¹ died on 3 Feb 1851 in Bramwith, Stainforth in Thorne, Yorks, England and was buried on 7 Feb 1851 in Barnby Dun, Yorks, England.)

Was by Banns. Benj. Johnson ? was Minister. Both groom and bride just made "Marks". Witness ? Banks and George ?
